As part of a comprehensive four-phase project for Gerdau’s Petersburg, VA Steel Mill, our team executed the construction of two de-chocker foundations. This intricate project involved multiple pours, challenging elevations, extensive sump areas, and trenches, along with the meticulous embedding of 115 anchor bolts within 130 cubic yards of concrete.
Building upon the expertise gained from a previous de-choker foundation for the Mill, our team tackled this project with precision and efficiency, completing it in a mere nine weeks. This achievement highlights our ability to adapt and optimize our construction processes, ensuring timely completion without compromising safety or quality.
